  1.         Searcher v2.0 Registration Form

  3. Searcher, version 2.0, is a file and text searching utility for MS 
  4. Windows, version 3+. It searches all of the selected disks in your 
  5. system for files you specify. Search parameters may be specified 
  6. with multiple specifications for: disk (or disks), path (including 
  7. all sub-directories), text contents, DOS file attributes (Normal, Archive, 
  8. Read Only, System & Hidden), file size, and/or file creation date. True 
  9. wildcards for the file names are supported so that "*pro.*xe" finds only 
  10. those files which contain "pro" in the name and "xe" in the extension.

  12. Files which match your specified search criteria are displayed in 
  13. scrollable list boxes, which include the file's name, path, size, date, 
  14. file attributes, and the location of the text string in the file. For text 
  15. searches, the text string and surrounding characters are displayed, 
  16. while for "file only" searches, the first line of the file is displayed.

  18. Additional features of Searcher include the ability to execute any 
  19. application, by double clicking on the executable or data file name, 
  20. in the list of files found, or selecting a file and pressing Enter, just 
  21. as though the file was displayed in "File Manager"--perfect for further 
  22. examination of your application data files. Searcher also features 
  23. context sensitive pop-up "Auto Help": pressing F1 while any control 
  24. is hi-lited creates a pop-up window with help text for that control.

  26. File specifications, path specifications and text strings from previously 
  27. saved sessions are automatically loaded into the drop down list boxes for 
  28. easy recall. The File Spec, Path Spec and Search Text entries, may be 
  29. initialized by the command line, so that you can create icons, and macros, 
  30. like the one that is included for Word for Windows, that automatically load 
  31. a File Spec, Path Spec and selected text into the appropriate boxes at start up.

  34. installs multiple Searcher icons, at your option, configuring each to 
  35. search for a different default file, directory, and text string. Searcher
